Although Google Chrome is by far the most popular internet browser in the world, it is not without its flaws - far from it.

A more responsive and less demanding Google Chrome 89 (according to Google)
With Chrome 89, Google promises to have corrected many of these concerns. Indeed, the latest version of the web browser benefits from various optimizations, to reduce the memory load on Windows by around 22%, while improving responsiveness by up to 9%. An optimization carried out thanks to the PartitionAlloc technology , used on the Windows version of Chrome, but also Android.
According to Google, “ Chrome is also reducing its memory footprint in background tabs on macOS, which we have been doing on other platforms for some time. We see up to 8% memory savings, which is over 1 GB in some cases! "
Those who have the latest Android smartphones (Android 10 and 8 GB of RAM) can also benefit from a revised and corrected Google Chrome, with a more stable browser, faster (by 8.5%) and 28% more fluid when it is a question of scrolling a web page. Google also promises a browser that starts up faster, with an improvement of around 13%, thanks to the Freeze Dried Tabs function. Video demonstration below:
It remains to be seen whether this new version of Chrome will succeed in reconciling the former browser users, some of whom preferred to opt for Firefox , Opera , or even the Microsoft Edge browser (under Chromium ).
