Several Huawei P30 Pro users have reported serious battery life issues since the rollout of EMUI 11 , the in-house overlay based on Android 10.
Since its launch in April 2019, the Huawei P30 Pro has welcomed three overlays , moving from EMUI 9.1 to EMUI 10.0, EMUI 10.1 and finally EMUI 11.0. And without any problem to report. Until now. As reported by our colleagues from the Huawei Central site, several Huawei P30 Pro owners have reported major autonomy problems since the deployment of EMUI 11, like this user on Reddit .
“ I have a Huawei P30 Pro and just upgraded to EMUI 11. I have noticed my battery draining faster since then. Does this have to do with the last update? ” Asks the user. “ I noticed the same thing. The battery drains much faster. However, since the EMUI update I have disabled “intelligent battery management”, which may have made the difference, ” another user assumes.
NO RESPONSE FROM HUAWEI FOR THE MOMENT
For some users, therefore, the autonomy of the smartphone does not even exceed the day in traditional use (SMS, calls, a little browsing on the Net). For others, the problem finally disappeared after a few days after the installation of EMUI 11. Seeming until then only American users, several Chinese owners have reported the same damage.
For now, Huawei has not made an official statement regarding this battery problem , potentially caused by poor software optimization of EMUI 11. Anyway, it's a safe bet that the manufacturer will react if these problems came to affect more users. And you, are you concerned by these autonomy concerns on your Huawei P30 Pro?
