Fujifilm has just announced a new flagship camera with more than 100 megapixels. This is the Fujifilm GFX100, the first mirrorless camera with a 102 megapixel image sensor measuring 43.8 mm x 32.9 mm.
The Fujifilm GFX100 promises to come up with several new features, as it will be the first digital camera to have phase detection pixels throughout the sensor. This feature allows you to track moving subjects and be more accurate during continuous autofocus. In addition, the Fujifilm GFX100 will offer image stabilization in the body itself, which the company explains makes it possible to manually capture sharper, high-resolution photos without having to worry about camera shakes.
Fujifilm's new medium format concept camera will also support 4K 10-bit to 30p video recording. According to the company, this camera will have substantially improved video recording capability compared to the GFX 50S and GFX 50R. The video performance will be thanks to Fujifilm's X Processor 4, which is capable of managing the large amount of data collected by the high-resolution sensor. It will also allow Fujifilm film simulations to be applied to ultra-high resolution images of the camera. The Fujifilm GFX100 camera's 102-megapixel sensor has been developed specifically for this camera and also uses Fujifilm's X-Processor 4 processing engine.
