Microsoft has decided to reduce the number of unnecessary preinstalled software. With the Windows 10 Sun Valley update, it becomes possible to reduce the number of preinstalled Microsoft software that you don't use including 3D Viewer and Paint 3D, in an effort to reduce the number of bloatware that comes with new PCs.
You know that when you buy a PC, far from the fresh and fast experience right out of the box you usually have to uninstall a whole bunch of bloatware or unnecessary programs first . Sometimes these programs remain installed even after you reset the computer. It must be said that Microsoft's economic model with Windows has always been to make agreements with manufacturers that involve these programs.
For their part, manufacturers sometimes abuse the mechanism by offering a little too many diverse and varied trial periods, as well as many programs that display unnecessary notifications or impact performance without this being justified. In doing so, manufacturers absorb part of the price of Windows 10 licenses that remains significant in the selling price of PCs . But obviously, the user experience suffers, which justifies losing a little time when starting a machine running Windows 10 for the first time.
WINDOWS 10 CUTS DOWN ON THE NUMBER OF PROGRAMS YOU DON'T WANT A BIT
Considering the fact that Microsoft's business model has far-reaching implications, we don't think manufacturer bloatware is going away anytime soon. Microsoft is nevertheless trying to reduce the number of unnecessary programs that come with the installation of Windows 10 a bit . Starting with its own since like those of the manufacturers, these come back whether you like it or not even during a complete reset of the PC.
In fact, Microsoft has obviously (finally) realized that many of its programs, especially for 3D or applied mathematics , are of no use to ordinary people. So, with the future update of Windows 10 Sun Valley , it becomes possible to deselect many of these programs during installation . This concerns in particular all 3D-related programs such as 3D Viewver, Paint 3D and the famous 3D Objects empty folder that drives some users crazy .
The installation of the mathematical formulas panel now becomes a simple option. These changes are already visible in the latest Insiders builds of Windows 10. For the rest of us, the novelty should arrive by October or November on the most recent machines . Still, we are entitled to wonder why Cortana, for example, is not yet part of the optional features in the latest Sun Valley Previews .
