Google Photos

Google Photos has a feature called "Memories", which was released a year ago and is intended for users to see photos from the past that they have stored on the Google service and that they have not enjoyed again since they saved them. The company allows you to print them, displays them on featured dates and even generates an album with the "best photos", automatically chosen by the application.

Now, the new version of Google Photos - which has announced that it will no longer allow you to store images without limit - that has just arrived in the Android app store, version 5.22 of Google Photos, includes a new functionality that allows you to create a wallpaper that shows those photos and videos of the memory as a wallpaper on your mobile phone. This way, you can enjoy them on your mobile home screen at all times when you're using your device.

The new wallpaper created with the images of the memory is located in the background selection section of your Android mobile, as one more. There you can see what content Google Photos has selected to appear on your screen. If you like them, just tap on the bottom right of the screen to add the wallpaper to your mobile phone.

At the moment there is no possibility to select which photos are displayed on the Android wallpaper, although it is a functionality that makes sense that they launch in the future.

It is also not known when this feature will arrive in the Google Photos app for iOS operating system, because at the moment it can only be used on Android devices, where it has started to be deployed in recent days and is expected to reach all users in the coming days. If you don't already have it, you can update your app from Google Play and see which version you own on your mobile.
