Twitter

Twitter is experimenting with a new feature in its iOS app. Users can use this feature to play YouTube videos directly from tweets. This new dynamic is a result of Twitter's initiative to improve mobile viewing of multimedia content.

watch YouTube videos without leaving Twitter

Twitter's iOS app already allows YouTube videos to be played directly from the timeline, as stated by the Twitter team. While it is not yet a fully functional feature, it is already being tested.

As a result, you won't have to leave the conversation or timeline to watch the YouTube video or navigate through links. You're done with a single click on the tweet. This is one of the new dynamics being tested by Twitter to improve the way multimedia content is displayed on the timeline.

We've already seen that it intends to change the way images are displayed in tweets, displaying them full size and without cropping. A dynamic that will be used to display images from mobile devices. Of course, there will be exceptions; images that are extremely wide or tall will be cropped.

Twitter, on the other hand, is testing the loading and display of 4K images from mobile apps. It is now the turn of YouTube videos to ensure that their display does not disrupt the platform's conversation. This feature is currently being tested on iOS devices with a small group of users in the United States, Japan, and Canada, among other countries.
