Sooner or later every manufacturer is expected to enter the field of folding smartphones. In the coming years, we expect to see a folding iPhone, but based on recent rumors, Google is preparing such a smartphone. The Google Pixel Fold.
As rumors of Google's foldable smartphone multiply, talented graphic designer and designer Waqar Khan posted a 3D video imagining the device's design on YouTube. The sequence is titled “Google Pixel Fold”. According to informant Jon Prosser, this is indeed the name chosen by Google for the moment.
A FOLDABLE PIXEL INSPIRED BY THE GALAXY Z FOLD 2
As can be seen below, the Pixel Fold is very similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 , Samsung's latest foldable smartphone. The smartphone is built around an imposing foldable screen marked with a punch that folds inwards. Note, however, the absence of a secondary screen for notifications.
On the back, we can see a double photo sensor housed in a square block like Pixel 5 . A fingerprint reader is visible in the center of the back. To develop these renderings, Waqar Khan relied solely on the latest leaks that appeared on the web. We therefore invite you not to take the video at face value.
For now, it is not known when Google will present the Pixel Fold. It is rumored that the American firm would launch a new smartphone, the name of which is still a mystery, during a conference on June 11, 2021. All eyes have logically turned to the Pixel 5a, the future mid-range of the brand .
