The new Google Pixel smartphone announced next June?
There is indeed no longer any doubt that Google is working on a new Pixel smartphone, or more, who knows. A new generation that the American giant intends to launch this year. But when, precisely? If we are to believe information from leakster Jon Prosser, the announcement of this new Pixel is currently scheduled for June 11, 2021, which is, it must be admitted, a rather strange date.
Indeed, in the past, Google organized the announcements of its Pixel smartphones in the second half of the year, and not just before the summer. In other words, on June 11, it would be a bit early. Still, the Pixel 3a was announced in May 2019, and the Pixel 4a also debuted slightly earlier compared to the Pixel 5 in August.
But which device, or which devices will we be talking about?
That being said, June more or less coincides with the time when Google is hosting its I / O event. It would therefore not be surprising that the Mountain View firm even decides to announce a new Pixel during its conference dedicated to developers. But that brings us to another question: what Pixel will Google be able to launch? There have already been several rumors of a Pixel 5a, a device whose characteristics would not be frankly foolish.
