HARMONYOS 2.0

HARMONYOS 2.0 SHOWS ITSELF IN VIDEO | Huawei was on course to steal the show from Samsung and dethrone the world number 1, but everything changed when Donald Trump launched into an open war against the manufacturer.

Since then, Huawei no longer has the right to do business with American companies, and it can no longer offer its smartphones with Google applications and services.

HarmonyOS 2.0 unveils a little more

Following this serious setback, Huawei has indeed started to work on its own solutions. After thoroughly renovating its application store, it has thus developed several tools to replace those of its American counterpart. Like Petal Search or Petal Maps .

But beyond these tools, Huawei has also invested a lot in its own platform: HarmonyOS. Platform which, in the long term, should replace Android on the brand's smartphones and touchscreen tablets.

And precisely, after a first version, Huawei recently unveiled the beta of HarmonyOS 2.0, a new more successful version that you will be able to discover now through a video shared on YouTube and a number of social platforms.

The video in question is a little over two minutes long and was uploaded by a channel called Creator Studio. It presents the platform, but also some of the integrated tools such as the application in charge of capturing photos and videos.

An interface similar to that of Android

Unsurprisingly, the interface inevitably recalls what Android offers with a distribution of icons on several home screens and a gesture navigation system. All with a beautiful fluidity in passing, which does not spoil anything.

The components of the interface are graphically worked, with beautiful curves. A control center is also present, to get your hands on the main settings of the phone more quickly.

If the choice to offer an interface similar to that of Android may surprise, it is ultimately quite logical. Huawei prefers to play it safe by offering users a platform to which they will have less difficulty adapting. Whether that will be enough to boost the company's sales is another debate.
