Xiaomi

Xiaomi continues to bet on MIUI 12.5 and there is a new list on the internet showing which smartphones are receiving this update. This is a quarterly distribution schedule for MIUI 12.5.

Yesterday a list appeared on the internet with a good number of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones, which are expected to receive the brand's new user interface this year. This is not 100% official information but it complies with what has been promised by the company.

Which Xiaomi smartphones will receive MIUI 12.5?

MIUI 12.5

As you can see from the screenshot, the first phones to be updated, in addition to the Xiaomi Mi 1.1 will be the top model launched in the market last year like Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, as well than the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro. These 5 models would be updated throughout the second quarter of the year starting April 1.

By the end of the semester, that is, by June, the global version of MIUI 12.5 is expected to land on other models launched on the market also in the past year, such as the Mi 10 Lite 5G, Mi 10T Lite, Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro as well as Mi Note 10 Lite. From Redmi Redmi Note 9T and the whole Redmi Note 9 family should receive the update in addition to Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi 9. Finally, some Poco phones should be as following like Poco F2 Pro and Poco X3 NFC.

There is a second leak but we have doubts

There are many doubts, but many more, about the second leak. Not because of the diversity of sources there, but because models like the Xiaomi Mi A3 appear, which obviously run Android One and not MIUI, so it will never receive MIUI 12.5.

Even so, if we consider it valid, it is good to know that phones like the BlackShark 3, BlackShark 2, Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9 Lite, Mi 9 Pro, Redmi 9A and other models launched some time ago also receive MIUI 12.5 throughout 2021.
