Xiaomi would prepare two smartphones compatible with very fast wireless charging. The transmitted power would be 67 watts, a record. Among the two smartphones could be the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, an improved version of the Mi 11 that Xiaomi unveiled in January 2021. The information was revealed by the source code of the beta version of MIUI 12.5.

On December 28, 2020, between Christmas and New Year's Day, Xiaomi presented the Mi 11 5G , its new flagship. An ambitious smartphone, with a Snapdragon 888 , a Quad HD OLED display , 8 to 12 GB of RAM and 128 to 256 GB of storage, a 4600 mAh battery compatible with 55 watt wired fast charging and 50 watt wireless fast charging . Two Harman Kardon speakers, a 20-megapixel selfie sensor and three rear photo sensors (including a 108-megapixel model ) complete the technical sheet.

FAST WIRELESS CHARGING EXCEEDS 60 WATTS

This week, the Mi 11 Pro is talking about it again thanks to a discovery in the source code of the beta version of MIUI 12.5 . Two new smartphone code names have been crossed there: Star and Mars . And both smartphones are said to be compatible with new wireless fast charging technology. This would offer a power of 67 watts .

It would be a new record. Indeed, fast wireless charging hardly ever exceeds 40 watts in commercial models. And we only know the Apex 2020 prototype from Vivo which benefits from a fast charge plus power ( 60 watts )We know that Xiaomi is working on a wireless charging solution that can power up to 80 watts . But Xiaomi would have chosen to restrain it at first to avoid overheating.
