In an interview granted to Eurogamer.net, the Game Director of Microsoft Flight Simulator , Jorg Neumann , reflected on the possible Xbox One port and on the game and content differences that exist between the PC and Xbox Series X / S versions.
Resuming the reveal trailer of Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X / S , the top manager of the project carried out by Xbox Game Studios and Asobo studios discusses the absence of information on the announced Xbox One version of the simulation blockbuster to explain that "it is about a matter of timing. Obviously memory matters, at Ultra settings on PC the game requires a huge amount of graphics memory, far more than you can draw from on Xbox One. But ours is a journey, now we are focusing on the completion of the Xbox Series X / S version. We never close the doors to any options, but for now it's a bit early to talk about it . "
Regarding the efforts made by the Redmond company and by Asobo to transpose the PC experience of Microsoft Flight Simulator to next gen consoles , Neumann explains that "the new version for Xbox Series X / S must be very similar to the PC version. Well, it can't be because it's not a viable path, but we are realizing the dream of Phil Spencer and the Xbox team to propose the title to as many users as possible through xCloud. We are focusing on the factors where people could have some points of friction (plausibly referring to the complexity of PC controls, ed),our priority is to make the learning curve of the experience less steep, and from that point of view the work is still ongoing " .
The Xbox Series X / S version of Microsoft Flight Simulator is scheduled for release this summer , with immediate entry into the Xbox Game Pass catalog and, we suppose since the launch of the console edition, with the possibility of using it on mobile systems via xCloud .
