Google Chrome

Google has just launched a new version of its Google Chrome browser that comes with three very interesting news . Chrome version 88 is now available and you can download it to your computer if your browser doesn't update automatically.

These are the main novelties that come to version 88 of Google Chrome:

-Improved "dark mode". Google Chrome was one of the first tools to incorporate a "dark mode" last year, which would later be followed by practically all social networks, such as Instagram and Twitter , and also most of the rest of Google products, such as Gmail .

In this new Chrome update, the company significantly improves the performance of "dark mode" for both Windows 10 and Chrome OS. The themes are improved and also the access to their configuration.

-Elimination of the FTP protocol. Google Chrome 88 supposes the elimination of a technology already in disuse, the FTP (File Transport Protocol) that is totally disabled in this version and its support is eliminated. The FTP protocol was used for decades and is still used by some hosting services , but Chrome will no longer include it.

-Elimination of Adobe Flash . Chrome had already blocked and disabled Flash in previous versions, but Chrome 88 is the final elimination of Adobe Flash, a technology that Adobe no longer supports since December 31 .

In addition to these news, Google Chrome 88 incorporates some other improvements. For example, the search tab is now "hidden" and must be proactively activated by the user for it to appear as a drop-down menu.

Along with these changes, the way in which notices are displayed to access web pages is also changed in Google Chrome 88, which will now be smaller and less intrusive.
