Dark modes have become popular in mobile apps for both iOS and Android. There are many platforms that this year have launched support for these "night mode" that allow to see the screen more pleasantly for the human eye in low luminosity conditions, by changing the traditional white background to a black background, and at the same time represent a battery saver. Gmail, Google App, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram... are some of the apps that have already released their "dark mode" over the past few months.
However, "dark mode", already widespread in apps, is not as popular in desktop versions of these platforms. Facebook, for example, has released it as part of the radical redesign it underwent this year, and also Twitter, but for example Google doesn't yet have a "dark mode" for the desktop.
Your arrival might be near, if, as Google is testing to incorporate a native "dark mode" into the search engine. Already in May he took a test in Chrome and would allow to show darker search pages on Android, but now what he is carrying out is an A/B test for a native dark theme in searches from the desktop.
Some users have already been able to try this "dark mode" that still has some functions to profile. For example, the Google logo is displayed above a white box, as can be seen in the image. The letters do not appear in white, but rather ina shade of gray, unlike most "dark modes" of other applications. Some icons have not yet been adapted to make them look better with a black wallpaper.
