Android 12 was released in early October , but there are many new features coming to Google's mobile operating system. In particular, a new weather widget should be introduced shortly , which was shown for the first time in some screenshots leaked online and which you can see at the bottom.
The new design is available with the latest Android 12 beta and replaces the previous one with a user interface more faithful to Google 's Material You guidelines . The weather widget was in fact one of the few to have not yet received an update for Android 12, and it is not unnatural to think that the Mountain View company decided to implement it quickly to have a visually consistent system at the time of Google's release Pixel 6 .
However, the application perfectly follows the new Android design, showing the current temperature, the maximum and the minimum of the day, the user's position and new icons for the weather. Also, the numbers used for the temperature are now larger than in the past, so they look better on the phone screen.As is now customary for the Material You design, the colors of the widget will depend on the background of the display, as is the case with almost every Android 12 app.
The new widgets are one of the most loved parts of Android 12, but not all have been implemented at launch of the operating system: on the contrary, others still remain to be officially published, although they have been available in beta for weeks now.
